The paper “Temporal Change Patterns of Entrepreneurial Orientation: A Longitudinal Investigation of CEO Successions” has been published online before print in Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice (VHB Journal Ranking: A). It can be accessed here . It was co-authored by Bastian Grühn, Steffen Strese, Tessa Flatten, Nikolai Jaeger, and Malte Brettel. Based on a sample consisting of 67 CEO replacements as well as on panel data comprising 706 firm-years and entrepreneurial orientation (EO) observations between 2000 and 2013 of S&P 500 firms, the authors examine whether a CEO replacement leads to a change in a firm’s EO, whether this change results in an increase or a decrease in the level of EO, and when such a change can actually be expected.
