Inter-firm coopetition refers to the simultaneous occurence of cooperation and competition in an inter-firm alliance. Having been often called a paradox, coopetition has been driving researchers' agendas for decades. This phenomenon draws on several established theories; recent efforts have been focusing on advancing a coopetition framework / unified theory.
This thesis consists of a structured literature review comprising:
- Theoretical foundation of coopetition and current status of framework/ unified theory development
- Different approaches and measures for coopetitive alliances
- Antecedents of coopetition
