Syllabus
This course focuses on the transfer of theoretical concepts on practice related questions in the context of services and technology marketing based on scientific studies. The students will work in groups and conduct empirical research studies in cooperation with a partner from business practice.
Objectives
Students are asked to design, conduct and analyze empirical studies. They will apply basic/theoretical knowledge about empirical research methods in the context of services and technology marketing to real-world cases. This seminar is designed to advance the methodological competence of the students, enable them to reach complex marketing-decision and transfer theoretical knowledge to business relevant topics.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge in statistics, willingness to conduct empirical research, willingsness to read scientific articles
attendance of Quantitative Marketing and/or Qualitative Research Methods is recommended.
Examination
The final grade can be composed as follows:
• Option A: Colloquium & presentation (50%, graded) and examination (50%, graded, 60min.)
• Option B: Colloquium & presentation (50%, graded) and paper (50%, graded)
• Option C: Paper (50%, graded) and examination (50%, graded, 60min.)
• Option D: Examination (100%, graded, 60min.)
The exact form of examination (A, B, C or D) will be announced at the start of the course.
