Final Event Service Simulation Game
On June 19th students from Paderborn University and RWTH Aachen University got together at Dusseldorf Airport for the final event in the course “Service Simulation Game”. In the inter-university challenge led by Prof. Dr. Nancy Wünderlich and Prof. Dr. Stefanie Paluch, students acted as managers for an airline in a simulation software. In exciting poster presentations, students from both universities reflected on their chosen strategy, as well as successes and failures during the simulation.
The winning teams of the simulation were Air Phoenix (RWTH), airPRO (Universität Paderborn), Empire Airways (RWTH) and HORIZON (Universität Paderborn) and were awarded with a trophy and certificates for their great performance in the game.
Following the poster presentation was a tour through the entire DUS airport, where students gained interesting insights into the workings of a real airport. Furthermore, students could socialize with students from the competing intra-university teams to exchange strategies and tactics in playing the game.
Thanks to the University of Paderborn for a great joint event in Dusseldorf.
