Mapping the Discipline of Information Systems utilizing topic modeling techniques
- Lehrstuhl für Innovation, Strategie und Organisation
A topic model is a statistical model for discovering abstract topics that occur in a collection of documents. Intuitively, one would expect specific words to appear more frequently given that a document is about a particular topic. The study is about the application of this novel text mining approach to a set of journal articles of information systems in order to map the current topic structure of the discipline. Interested students should have sound knowledge of statistics and willingness to work one's way into using R or another programming language.
