Exploring Citation Patterns in Information Systems Journals

Citation analysis is one of the most widely used methods of bibliometrics. It is the examination of patterns, frequencies and graphs of citations in articles and books. This study aims at uncovering citations patterns in journal articles of the information systems discipline based on data from Thompson Reuters Web of Science. Interested students should have sound knowledge of statistics and be willing to work with bibliometric software like CiteSpace or advanced knowledge in at least one programming language suitable to conduct citation analysis like R, Python or Java.
