Effective Cross-Functional Integration (CFI) is an important prerequisite for successful new product development. Under perfect conditions for CFI, knowledge is willingly shared and assimilated among all involved organisational units. However, perfect conditions may not be achievable in practice… This thesis should examine the influence of individual attitudes on knowledge sharing and especially knowledge assimilation. Conceptual, experimental and empirical research methods are applicable.
