How can economic transformation succeed? Recommendations for action for structural change in the region

The regional economy is facing clear challenges. Sustainability, circular economy or defossilization are just a few keywords that describe the demands for structural change. But how does this transformation succeed?

In this thesis, concrete recommendations for a practical design of the structural change will be developed. These practical approaches for the regional economy and administration should help decision-makers to strengthen the regional economy in the long term and to develop it in an ecologically sustainable way. The work will be implemented within a multi-year research project, which will provide access to extensive data and studies of the region for the analysis and derivation of possible recommendations for action.
