Revolutionizing Hybrid Stents: Uncovering Innovation Barriers and Shaping Future Demands

Our call for proposals is aimed at committed students who would like to immerse themselves in the exciting research field of medical innovations. The focus of this work is to analyze the sales markets, identify barriers to innovation, and determine the requirements for hybrid stents. The innovative hybrid stents (consisting of novel textiles) offer a significant advantage in the treatment of tumors compared to conventional metal stents.
Barriers to innovation can impede the successful market entry of medical innovations. To overcome these challenges, it is critical to involve future stakeholders early in the innovation process. In this work package, approximately 10 expert interviews will be conducted to determine the requirements of hybrid stents from the perspective of manufacturers and users. In particular, we would like to analyze the hurdles for the acceptance by clinical users and for the transfer into a commercial production of the hybrid stent.
We offer flexible and regular supervision during your thesis as well as support in learning scientific methods. In addition, you will have the opportunity to contribute your own ideas and actively shape the research process.
