Dr. Antons receives faculty award for interdisciplinary research
Dr. David Antons, assistant professor at the Innovation, Strategy and Organisation (ISO) Group, has been awarded the prize for Interdisciplinary Research.
The prize was awarded by the RWTH School of Business and Economics for his research achievements during his doctoral studies. The investigations were not merely based on an interdisciplinary approach utilizing methods and approaches from management science and psychology, but focused also on the subject of interdisciplinary research collaborations. In his studies, Dr. Antons developed methods to explicitly and implicitly measure negative attitudes towards interdisciplinary knowledge exchange. Furthermore, he validated these measures showing that the attitudes influence individual decision making. This research contributes to the academic knowledge regarding the Not-Invented-Here-Syndrome.
