School's 6th "Nobel Prize" Lecture
"Nobel Prize" Lecture on January 22, 2020
On Wednesday, January 22, 2020 the School's 6th "Nobel Prize" Lecture will be taking place.
In the Couvenhalle building, Kármánstraße 17-19, commencing at 18.30 hours, the key findings of the Nobel Prize Laureates for Economics from 2019 and 1993 will be presented by Prof. Dr. Oliver Lorz and Prof. Dr. Paul Thomes .
The two professors of the School of Business and Economics will be talking on:
- the Nobel Prize Laureates 2019 (Abhijit Banerjee, Esther Duflo & Michael Kremer) and their experimental approach to fighting global poverty
- the Nobel Prize Laureates 1993 (Robert Fogel & Douglass North) and their innovative economics research which involved the applying of economic theory and quantitative methods in order to explain economic and institutional change.
Following the event, refreshments will be served.
The "Nobel Prize" Lecture is sponsored by the Association of Friends and Supporters of the School of Business and Economics ("Förderverein").
