Syllabus

Building on the course "Foundations of Entrepreneurship" this course provides deeper insight into the general topic area of Entre- and Intrapreneurship. Basic theories and growth models are presented and discussed interactively. The focus is on the opportunities and challenges of young companies. Selected practical problems are presented, discussed and solved in a team. The lecture is accompanied by an exercise in which students are familiarized with the relevance and content of a business plan and eventually develop a business plan in collaboration with a founder.

Objectives

Upon completion of this course, students that are interested in founding a business should know basic theoretical concepts of entrepreneurial research and be able to apply it in a practical context. They should furthermore be familiar with the problems of enterprise creation and development, and have a basic understanding of entrepreneurial thinking and acting.

Prerequisites

No formal prerequisites, yet interest in Marketing and Finance and Entrepreneurship as well as optional knowledge of the subject areas of the courses Introduction into Business Administration and Foundations of Entrepreneurship is recommended.
